On March 15 and 16, 2014, The Animation Workshop joined with The Strong Museum of Play for the GET ANIMATED CARTOON WEEKEND.
We’ve edited together a video to show some of the kids animation, as well as snapshots from the event.
Visitors to the Stop Motion Animation Station learned the fundamentals of frame by frame stop motion with toys and paper characters. Animations came to life on the video monitor!
Then, for “Animation Live,” volunteers from the audience had the chance to interact with giant animated characters (Derf the Viking and Matty the Dragosaurus) as instructors from The Animation Workshop directed the action.
