Domain and Webhosting set-up
If domain is already registered, we’ll require all login info to connect it to the site. If not, we’ll set you up with domain registration at Hover.com . For hosting, we prefer to use Hostgator and will work with you to set up the account.
WordPress Installation
WordPress is a content management system that can be used as a blog or standard website. Plugins can be added to WordPress for increased functionality and Search Engine Optimization.
The main advantage of WordPress over static HTML is that the look of a site is managed in one place. Any changes to the theme or sidebar widgets only need to be done once, unlike a static site that would require every page to be manually edited one-by-one. This means future updates are made easier, quicker, and more cost-effective.
WordPress and its associated plugins require periodic code updates for security reasons. It is up to the client to monitor these alerts. Animatus can be retained on an hourly basis to make these and other updates to the site.
Template Design
Animatus will tailor the site design to the client’s needs. This includes use of logos, specific colors, and menu layout. During this stage, Animatus will send updates via email so the client can monitor the progress and give feedback. Prompt, decisive replies will help the process move quickly.
Content
Animatus will work with the client to determine how to organize the content into pages. All written copy will be provided by the client.

Search Engine Submission
If a client publicizes the site through social media, email newsletters, and link-sharing with other sites, submitting to search engines isn’t always necessary. However, Animatus can manually submit to the top search sites for an extra fee.
Google Places Set-up
Important if your business has a physical address.

Animatus can show the client how to login and post their own blog entries or make their own minor changes to existing pages. We’ll sit down with you and give you the ABC’s of WordPress.
WordPress Database back-ups
In case of server outages, Animatus installs a plugin which makes weekly back-ups of the client’s WordPress database. This encompasses any text and page changes made to the site by Animatus or the client’s webmaster. These back-ups are important if the site needs to be re-installed.
