3D WORKSHOP: INTRO TO LIGHTWAVE

Learn the basics of 3D animation! This four week course will include many guided tutorials and plenty of hands-on creative time. Students will explore the very basics in this beginner level course using the Lightwave 3D Discovery Edition animation program. Lightwave 3D is one of the more commonly used 3D animation packages used in television and the movies today.

CLASSIC CARTOONS ON THE BIG SCREEN

When was the last time you saw 35mm prints of Bugs Bunny and pals projected in an actual movie theater? Most kids only know these cartoons from TV, but they take on a whole new life when projected on the big screen.

Don’t miss “WACKY WESTERNS FROM TERMITE TERRACE” this Tuesday at the Eastman House’s Dryden Theatre.

This hilarious collection of Western send-ups from the golden age of Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies features splendid work from the acclaimed auteurs of “Termite Terrace.” EGGHEAD RIDES AGAIN (Tex Avery, 1937, 35mm); SCALP TROUBLE (Bob Clampett, 1939, 35mm nitrate print); THE LONE STRANGER AND PORKY (Bob Clampett, 1939, 35mm nitrate print); DRIP-ALONG DAFFY (Chuck Jones, 1951, 35mm); BUGS BUNNY RIDES AGAIN (Friz Freleng, 1948, 35mm); PUNY EXPRESS (Walter Lantz/Dick Lundy, 1951, 35mm) plus two of Tex Avery’s best from his years at MGM: DEPUTY DROOPY (1955, 35mm) and THE FIRST BAD MAN (1955, 35mm). Ticket price includes admission to 8:00 pm showing of Wichita.
