Season’s Greetings from Animatus and shameless self-promotion to all!
BART SIMPSON AT THE HIGH FALLS FILM FESTIVAL A HUGE SUCCESS
Nancy Cartwright’s visit to Rochester’s High Falls Film Festival and to Animatus Studio was a big success. Many thanks to all the folks who came out and supported these events. We had over 500 people at Nancy’s Saturday afternoon show at the Dryden Theatre, and over 300 people who came to her book signing on Sunday.
She was truly touched when I presented her with “The Faith Hubley Web of Life Award” at the sold out closing ceremony. She also mentioned to me how much it meant to her and that she would be putting it up on her mantle next to her Emmy.
Nancy also spent a couple of hours here at Animatus Studio. She got to see the new “Derf the Viking” episode in progress, as well as Dave Pul’s “Fresh Toones.”
After the success of Faith Hubley joining us last year and this years visit by voice talent extraordinaire Nancy Cartwright, we will certainly have our work cut out for us coming up with next years guest to the HFFF.

NEW WEBSITES
TOMMYGRAVINO.COM: Animatus designed this site for Rochester jazz musician Tommy Gravino. Visitors can listen to MP3 samples of his work, check his performance schedule, or order CD’s online. Go to http://www.tommygravino.com
HAMILTON AV: We did an animated intro a while back, and just recently it was time to expand the site. Using our original animation as a jumping-off point, we’ve created some Flash site navigation. The main page gives a general layout, with rollover animation and sounds. Then elements are repeated throughout the site. Check it out at http://www.AudioVisualRental.biz

DERF THE VIKING
The work on Derf’s latest opus, “The Search for the Great White Ale” is almost complete! The animation is done (at least until we decide to make more changes) and the next stage involves musical scoring and sound effects. We’re shooting for a premiere screening in March. More details to come as the date approaches. Learn to love derf at http://www.animatusstudio.com/html/derf.html
ANIMATION WORKSHOPS
This winter’s Saturday workshops begin on January 4th. There’s still time to sign up by mail or online! Go to http://www.animatusstudio.com/workshops
