Where are you located?<\/strong>
\nAnimatus Studio’s address is 34 Winthrop Street in Rochester, New York, 14607. We are down the street from the Little Theater and Redd Restaurant. (If you’re from out of town, you may be surprised to learn that Rochester is not a suburb of New York City. In fact, we’re about a six hour drive from Manhattan.)<\/p>\n

How do I make a purchase using PAYPAL?<\/strong>
\nWe accept payment for our products and workshops through Paypal<\/a>, which works like an online checking account. You DO NOT need to be a Paypal member to make purchases, just own a major credit card.<\/p>\n

I live in Antarctica. Can I take your animation workshop?<\/strong>
\nFrom time to time we get “long distance requests” to take our workshops. Remember, our classes are not associated with any college program, so there are NO credits or diplomas attached. Also, the classes are typically once a week for four weeks. Still want to rack up the frequent flyer miles? It’s okay with us if it’s okay with you.<\/p>\n

What’s the difference between the Saturday and Summer workshops?<\/strong>
\nSaturday workshops take place over four weeks. Students choose either morning (9:00 to 12:00), or afternoon (12:00 to 4:00).<\/p>\n

In contrast, our Summer workshops take place on weekdays. They last from 9:30 to 3:00, with a break for lunch. See the workshop section<\/a> of our website for current pricing and schedule.<\/p>\n

Do you teach 3D computer animation?<\/strong>
\nNot at this time.<\/p>\n

Can you recommend some animation software?<\/strong>
\nWe use a combination of Adobe and Toonboom software. We have a page of recommended software in our workshop section<\/a>, much of which is free.<\/p>\n

Can you recommend a good college for animation?<\/strong>
\nSome schools with exemplary animation programs include the School of Visual Arts<\/a>, Edinboro,<\/a> The Art Institute of Pittsburgh,<\/a> Sheridan,<\/a> and R.I.T.<\/a> See our links page for more.<\/p>\n

Can I have a job?<\/strong>
\nAnimatus works with free-lance animators as jobs dictate. We also take on non-paid interns occasionally. Usually college students, these eager minds help us with in-house projects and gain experience working in an animation facility.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
